A a fast-paced, roguelite, bullet-hell game set in a sci-fi universe
Inspired by titles like Vampire Survivors, our game presented a complex audio landscape with a multitude of units, upgrade paths, and varying enemy densities. To enhance the player experience, I designed a dynamic sound system that scaled in intensity and complexity based on the player’s progression and the on-screen chaos.
A primary challenge was maintaining audio clarity amidst the frenetic action. Through careful sound design and mixing techniques, I ensured each sound element stood out, contributing to a cohesive and immersive experience.
Additionally, I was responsible for the game’s dialogue as well, bringing the mech pilots to life. The music, a fusion of bluesy space western and funk, complemented the game’s unique aesthetic and added depth to the overall atmosphere.
